XNTO PANTO 2: Christmas Cracked!

November 6 x x x

Fresh from picking up the Irish LGBT Entertainment Personality of the Year Award, XNTHONY is returning to London with his cult Christmas show XNTO PANTO, which entertained, sold out audiences in 2016. Packed with a whole host of new songs, XNTO PANTO 2: Christmas Cracked! is going to be bigger and better than ever.

2017 was tumultuous year for pop. Gaga is injured (again), Miley is doing Madonna, and George Michael is gone. With all this uncertainty it’s time for XNTHONY to do what he was born to do; get that Christmas Number 1 and claim his place as Christmas pop royalty!

The presents have been wrapped, the tree is up. The songs are written, the tinsel is unravelling. Like the alcohol-infused steam of the Christmas pud nothing’s gonna stop XNTHONY’s rise to the top of the Christmas charts.

Combining XNTHONY’s signature blend of music and mayhem that saw him pick up five nominations at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival for DOUZE, which has wowed audiences across Europe. The show will also feature a gaggle of hand picked guests (TBA!) representing the best talent from across the UK and Ireland to create an unmissable night of entertainment.

This year XNTO PANTO will take place at The Glory, London on 15th and 16th December and Dublin, Ireland on Saturday 9th December.

Ireland’s LGBT+ Entertainer of the Year

October 28 x x x

In October I was absolutely honoured to receive the award for Ireland’s LGBT+ Entertainer of the Year.

I am honoured and humbled to represent the many different communities of which I belong to. These communities include the Roscommon Community, the LGBT+ community and the community of artists and performers of which I am surrounded and inspired by on a daily basis. I want to say a special thank you to everyone who voted for me, I am so grateful for your support!

I didn’t expect to win, so I didn’t prepare a speech. But you can watch my speech below. Let’s rebrand Roscommon. Let’s be more accepting of each other. And most of all, let’s have some fun.

‘Although he’s become a darling of the London scene with his cabaret shows at alternative East End queer club, The Glory, Roscommon native Anthony Keigher, aka Xnthony, has always had his eye on a bigger prize, as his new show at the Dublin Fringe attests. As Xnthony gears up to rebrand himself as a straight for pop stardom, Keigher talks to Brian Finnegan about fame, his own Marvel Universe, fake authenticity, and the strange correlation between queerness and rural life’.

Europe’s favourite-ish pop star XNTHONY is back. This time it’s personal. This time he’s getting hitched!

Having failed to represent anyone in the Eurovision, XNTHONY is pivoting.

Out goes the glitter and glam. In comes wife-to-be Tiffany.

Standing together with sweaty palms and open hearts, this is the white wedding of the millennium and the couple want you to join them on their special day.

The Power of Wow is created by XNTHONY and developed with Tiffany Murphy.

Support for the project comes from Limewharf Creative Hub and Roscommon Co Co. Image by DASHIELL SILVA. Photography by LUXXXER.

The reviews are in!

‘This production is an engaging and challenging progression of the characters of Xnthony and Tiffany (who previously appeared in Douze) that involves the audience in both light-hearted and provocative, searching ways. The Power of Wow is a brave (and at times bizarre) work of art that is not afraid to push boundaries and does so with confidence, conviction, and bananas.’ Read more here.

‘During such stunts, the electric Tiffany Murphy will up the ante, even grinding melisma into his thoughtfully prepared rap. It’s clearer than before that Xnthony is a scathing ridiculer, showing the ugly side of celebrity culture. Through grotesque routines, Tiffany is pushed to the brink before finally railing against what she was promised. This cabaret act has some teeth.’ Read more here.
